Farro

From 2006 when Farro was opened, our stores were created to open Kiwis’ eyes and mouths to an unbelievably, deliciously, amazing world of food. Whether it’s as simple as a great sausage, a tasty family ready-made meal, or something much harder to find, we do it for the benefit of our customers and to support our talented local producers.

Farro has seven food stores across Tāmaki Makaurau and, with our growing online store, delivers deliciousness all over the country. We offer a quality food market experience that is a pleasure to shop every meal, every day. We pride ourselves on having the highest standards across everything we do, from animal welfare standards, to sustainable sourcing, to carefully tracking down the freshest, best, tastiest food in New Zealand and beyond.

Right now, less than 1% of our food waste goes to landfill. Over 80% goes to stock feed through Eco Stock, 10% is composted through We Compost and 5-8% goes to people in need through our work with Fair Food. Since 2012, Farro has partnered with Fair Food, Auckland’s first food rescue operation, to help them redistribute fresh, surplus food to more than 2,000 people or 500 Auckland families every week.

With the Farro Kitchen meal range and our hand-picked hampers, we provide the gift of love and support to new parents, those who are unwell, or anyone deserving of a helping hand.
