The Dominion Rd Moon Festival is a multi-cultural event to be held 13-15 September at Potters Park, Balmoral.
The Dominion Rd Business Association is partnering with the Balmoral Chinese Business Association to develop a Moon Festival event to be held in Potters Park and the War Memorial Hall 13-15 September this year. Supported by the Albert Eden Local Board, the Event aims to be a multicultural signature event.
The main elements of the event include:
- Lanterns and light displays – Come and see Potters Park lit up as you've never seen it before. There will be a number of interactive light displays and lanterns will be placed around the park with lantern riddles to increase participation and showcase the culture; Cultural Sections of lanterns in the park showcasing different countries
- Cultural Exhibition - Cultural performance and activities inside Mt Eden Memorial Hall eg: moon cake making, calligraphy art, dumpling making, lantern making; A section in the hall also showcasing the history of Dominion Road;
- Performance – A main stage will be set up in Potters Park for community performances; Mt Eden War Memorial Hall stage will be utilised for professional performances;
- Food and Drinks - Food stalls will be available in the park – Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian.
